Day 2 – A Writer’s Journey

A new project/novel has sprung itself into existence. You could say that this is the most exciting point in the process (excluding actually getting published). The ideas are fresh and waiting to be expanded upon it who knows how many directions.

Aside from mapping out the characters and giving an outline of each starting scene, yesterday (day 1) I had written 2787 words, hoorah!

Now i know it’s not all about word count, believe me, half of the words i am putting into this story may be taken straight back out once the editing stage begins, but for now, it’s a start.

    1. Its funny. It was originally going to dabble in fantasy but be character driven at its center. As the writing continues, it seems to be blossoming even more into a fantasy world. More so than i envisioned, thats the unpredictable and exciting nature of writing i guess.

  1. Congratulations on starting this journey! I look forward to following you! I’m writing my first novel and I remember back in March feeling these same feelings when I first started the manuscript. Keep up the great work! 👍

      1. Thank you! And I’m sure it is worth it, though ask me that same question again when I’m in the middle of a particularly difficult revision and I’ll tell you that I want to kill the manuscript with fire! Lol! 😂
